Stuff you probably don't know...

Well, it's Friday and in the spirit of taking it easy, I thought it was the perfect opportunity for you to get to know me better!  So here are some random things about me that most people don't know:

I have a major designer denim addiction, and can name every style and wash of each brand in my closet.

I don't do heels.

I need to put on my makeup every day or I feel so naked! Even if I'm not doing anything. I just don't feel like myself without it... and I think that's totally ok.


My favourite clothing brand is Wildfox and I have about a billion of their pieces.

I have TMJ so it's really annoying to eat sometimes because my jaw is always CLICK CLICK CLICKING on one side.

I've been growing my hair colour out for about a year now. my roots are about 8 inches long. this is the first time in 14 years i've seen my natural colour. So if my hair looks funky you now know why.

My hair is also naturally super super straight and I hate the fact that everyone else seems to have some lovely natural waves because it makes me feel left out!

My favourite artist is Mark Ryden.

I used to have five ferrets.  I was kind of obsessed with ferrets.  They all died of cancers or adrenal gland disease (ferrets are prone to this happening). :(

For breakfast I usually eat Special K with bananas in it.

My favourite fast-food is Mr. Sub.  I used to work at Subway and totally sided with the enemy.

I love adventure video games (nerd alert)

My favourite nail polish colour is turquoise of course!

    I love that you wear makeup everyday. Wish i had that devotion.
    Can you please send me a link to wildfox's clothing?? I saw a shirt of there's in a magazine and tried looking for their website but couldn't find it.
    I also put bananas in most of my cereal. SO much better that way. :)

    Well, you learned some things about me. It may not be what you asked for, but there you go. haha!

  3. I used to feel the same way about makeup, but I'm beginning to enjoy going without it. Being married helps. He can't get away! muahaha

    I also have TMJ. I didn't think others could hear it until my college roommates broke the bad news. I live in fear that my jaw is going to get stuck one day.

    Turquoise has my heart. :)

  4. things people don't know about me:

    i have a jack russell terrier who is the furry love of my life!

    my favorite food is a chimichanga, which is a deep fried burrito, yum! i eat mine with refried beans and lots of avocado and cheese. healthy, right? i usually bake it instead of fry to make it a liiiiittle healthier.

    my favorite dessert is currently salted caramel. salty and sweet, delish!!

    (i love food, haha)

    at the gym i usually watch a sport game, and i imagine myself training for that sport to motivate myself

    i hate running but i'm trying to get into it anyway. i have a beginners workout plan that is supposed to train me to run a 5k in 10 weeks. baby steps!

    i'm afraid of deep water, but i was a lifeguard for years.

  5. I have TMJ and my jaw has gotten stuck after yawning more than once. (It is quite embarassing.)

    I am afraid of spiders, squirrels, naked chickens and telephones.

    I am a chick bass player.

    I no longer worry about makeup or what my hair looks like. It is what it is and I'm fine with that.

  10. Love your post! I never wear make up and I am ok with that! Haha. We are opposites....well I do wear make up but sometimes I am just too lazy to put it on.

    Random Fact: My dad invented Pizza Rolls. This is TRUE!

  11. My hair is pin straight as well and I just wish I had a little bit of wave. :(
    Also, I'm not sure that I have TMJ, but one side of my jaw pops a lot, and sometimes it locks up a bit. Not cool. haha

  12. We are too much alike! No joke! I also feel naked without makeup on, regardless of what I'm doing that day (your eyes are gorgeous by the way!) Special K with bananas is one of my favorite breakfasts... or dinners :) Also, I had TMJ for years that eventually went away! Oh, and turquoise nails are amazing!! :)

    I love every shade of turquoise (teal, seafoam green, etc) and I too also used to work at Subway as a teenager.. and ALSO prefer Mr. Sub instead! haha.

    I love your artwork (another thing we have in comon!).. your lemon sign is proof that you know what you're doing with paint!
