They are the cutest ever, right?! I adore them, I really do. The only problem is that I walk around like a baby fawn in them. Legs flying everywhere and in danger of breaking my ankles off. I'm tall as it is, and these babies prop me up to a good 6 feet in height. Like I said though, all I need is practice... and I have claimed these Vance booties as the perfect practice pair. They are adorable so they make me want to wear them. Plus, they are probably the highest heels I would ever attempt. No baby steps for this girl, I dive in head first!
p.s. I am in love with snoods. This amazing one is from one of my awesome sponsors, Seams to Be. Her stuff is well made and affordable!! This scarf/hood/piece of awesomeness will be getting a lot of wear this winter!
I will update you all on my shoe training once I master it! Any advice for a heel virgin?

I've been dying for those shoes. You wear them well :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom always tells me to just walk normal. I AM a heels girl, but I've never been very good at it. Each new pair of heels has to be for a bit before venturing out into public. But, if you overthink it you get that fawn learning to walk affect. So my advice to you, is forget you're wearing heels, and just walk normal. Easier said than done, I know! :)
ReplyDeletep.s. Those boots are amazing!! :)
I have been eyeing those shoes for a while now. Seeing them on you makes me want to get them now for sure! So cute! I cant walk in heels either :/ My long chicken legs make me feel ridiculous in them
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are Unbeliveble LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteCheck out the new Documentary "Revenge of the Electric Car"!!
Love those shoes.....! but yeah...I usually last about 2 hours tops before my feet are crying!
ReplyDeleteLove those shoes! I wish I were better at walking in heels, but my advice would be to practice! Wear heels whenever you know you won't be stuck in them all day (like around the house.)
ReplyDeletePractice practice practice... yeah I know Heel advice from a guy may seem odd, but I had to wear 4 inch heals for a play in college, and the director made me walk the halls for an hour a day. by show time, I was a pro. You will be too very soon.
ReplyDeleteI love wearing heels, but my knees tell me otherwise at the end of the day. However, it always depends on the shoe I am wearing. I've found that I need something that straps around my ankle tightly, or has a good grip on my thin heel. If those things aren't in existence, then I can't walk in them, either. However, once I find a pair I like, I enjoy walking around, being an Amazon. A three-inch heel pushes me up to about 6'1".
ReplyDeleteI love the Dr. Sholl's ball of her foot pads. They help them be more comfy. =)

Hey girl! Gorgeous pix as ALWAYS...you look smashing! I think Vance is definitely a good pair to start off with...the platform definitely helps to make them a bit more walkable!
ReplyDeleteI agree with NeuroticLover too...you have to try and walk normally, heel first as usual. I know it seems scary to rely on that, but at least these heels are fairly thick, stilettos are definitely scarier. You have to be confident in placing your heel down first, otherwise you get the dainty fawn look!
I have the Vance too, and they're probably some of my easiest heels to walk in. Excellent choice for your training wheels! ;)

As long as I've got little foot pads in my heels, I'm good to go! I just never have an excuse to wear heels :(
ReplyDeletep.s. Snood reminds me of "The Lorax"
you got them!!! so excited for you!! and i'm agreeing with elise!!! the vances i think are the easiest heels to prance around in - hehe.
ReplyDeleteloooove the pictures, though - you look darling, friend!
LOL... baby fawn... you really painted the picture there! It definitely takes some practice, just stay away from stilletos for a little while... those will for sure break an ankle! those boots look like a good starter heel. wedges and platforms are also easier to walk in. just pretend you're a model and strut, strut, strut! ;)
ReplyDeleteOoh, you're tall? I don't know if we can be friends anymore. I am... NOT tall. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha, you made me laugh with the baby faun. ; ) You can dooo it! Practice, practice! I also love that snood! xo
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are adorable! I'm the same way with heels. I steer pretty clear unless they are a wedge or something I simply cannot live without :) I love the snood too, very cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the booties and the snood. Your blog is absolutely beautiful. Love everything about it. I'll be sure to follow.

I am not a heel wearer either, but sometimes it's nice to give them a spin! Snoods. I am getting into them too, perhaps it's the word that I find so appealing. Snood. ha ha, it makes me laugh:)
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of heels but not the tall ones, I am short girl and prefer to stay away from vast heights! Ease yourself in girl, bring comfy shoes with you if you are out and about in your fancy heels and when your feet are tired switch the comfy ones! You can't expect your feet to acclimate to heels overnight! Good luck on your shoe-venture and keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteOH my goodness, I want those! But I actually am 6 feet so I would be about 6'4". Still shorter than my husband, but I might have to find a shorter pair!
ReplyDeleteI'm absolutely in love with your booties darling... so much so that I wish I had my very own pair. Maybe I'll ask for them this Christmas ;)
