This was beautiful, and is very well said for this moment. I just relocated 600 miles from home. I'm living with my boyfriend out of necessity, but I still miss home. I love Aaron dearly, but he isn't my mother, he isn't my brother or my hometown, nor is he my cat. :) I am struggling on my first venture to adulthood, and he is here to capture me and make me smile. To love me and tell me "You are so beautiful" even when all I do is sit in the apartment in my sweatpants, my hair uncombed. Similarly, I am here for him when he comes home from work, exhausted from his first year of teaching. "Today wasn't good," he'll say to me, and I'll reach my arms around him and hug him close. We don't speak; our love and concern and emotions are conveyed in the silence and the feelings of our arms around each other.

You and D are gonna to go the distance...to many people talk down on marriage, but when you understand exactly what you said in this post marriage is the only logical step haha Me and my hubby were married 6 months after we started dating! I think we pee'd with the door closed the first week we dated Lol ;p

ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! I loved the bit about peeing with the door open! Haha. That was seriously a BIG deal to me when my husband and I first got married, it definitely took some getting used to, but it's like one of those funny things, haha.
