When a customer came to me a short while ago with this custom request, I was absolutely thrilled to do it, and also kind of humbled. This order was special because it actually meant something.
My customer's loved one had passed away and the sweet lady wanted me to create a fawn using a piece of his plaid shirt, which she mailed to me. This would be a gift for her little daughter so she could have something of his to remember him by. I thought the idea was so amazing and I was honored that she chose me to make this for her. Knowing that this little guy will always have a special place in their hearts.... well, that just warms my own heart.
Take the time to remember someone today.

ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I had one of my dad's old shirts (or any piece of fabric that was his) so I could make something of this sort. It is such a great present and you are a wonderful sewist - I am glad she chose you!
