So far, I realized my dog is smarter than I thought. I taught him how to "roll over" in less than ten minutes. Kind of a proud momma over here! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?
I've also converted my Facebook page to the new timeline for Facebook PAGES and am loving it. So many possibilities with custom design, and larger full-width areas for app pages! Check mine out here if you're curious to see what it looks like! Facebook is rolling out these changes for all Pages at the end of March anyways, so why not jump on board? The only downside I've noticed is that you can't have people directed to a custom landing page when they visit your profile anymore. Maybe something they'll consider adding back in the future? I think my design services just opened up to include Facebook cover photo design... hmmm...
What are your thoughts on this Facebook timeline? Do you think they should have kept Pages the same or are you happy with the changes?

As for my extra wonderful 24 hours... unfortunately I have a midterm this weekend for an online course I'm taking, so it's time to cram! Apparently my procrastination hasn't paid off! (Who knew!)
The new timeline is good and I have it on my personal Facebook. But I wish they would let everyone have the option to use which ever style of their choice at any given time.
ReplyDeleteI wasnt wanting to switch but then when I went to my page and saw they would make the change for all pages on March 30 anyways.. I decided to go for it now and be prepared. I am trying to figure out now how to add and change the tabs! I watched a video tutorial and it showed it should have a little pencil appear when you hover over them where you can edit them. But mine dont do that and I dont know how to add more. So thats what I am working on now!

I think thats kind of a bummer... but appearantly fb wants us to use other ways to get people to go to our sites and get "creative".
I like the new Facebook timeline for the most part, but it definitely confused the crud outta me at first. It takes some getting used to. I love that we can add a huge header photo now and I like that we can "star" more important posts, but I don't necessarily like the layout of the timeline itself. That's where I get a little lost.

I like the cover photo, and that's about it. The rest of it just is confusing and all over the page!
