Self Portrait Saturday!

Saturday, February 18, 2012

Happy Saturday friends! I am so relieved that the weekend is finally here again. This week was a busy one!  You know what time it is don't you? It's time for another Self Portrait Saturday!  Last week was the beginning of this fun little series and I'm glad some of you decided to participate.  I'm looking forward to seeing even more of you participate this weekend!

This time around, I wanted to get a little glammed up, so I grabbed some nice red lipstick and went to it. I actually wasn't too pleased with myself and it was tougher to find some useable shots.  I think it had something to do with the fact that I was doing a million things and had no real plan from the get-go... also it was getting dark and I was losing light so my choices of locations were limited. If you have any themes or ideas for next week's edition, leave a comment and let me know!  Anyways, here's what I came out with...

Still not sure how I feel about them, but oh well.

Things I learned:
- My face looks so much different in the mirror than translated to film. It's weird, and I don't understand it completely yet. I need to practice posing sans-mirror.
- Daytime photos are the best. Taking them at night just makes things much more difficult.

Here is my fav from last week's linkup:

She did some awesome bokeh shots!!!

Will you join in and take your own self portraits?  Remember, it's all about self awareness, so don't be shy to experiment... we are all learning!  Grab a button and link up your post below!

  8. I came back to the computer this morning to find it already linked. :) Thanks for adding me.

I like how you changed it up, gives me some ideas for next week. I love how you chose your favorite from last week, such a beautiful shot.

I agree, daytime is better. I did mine at night and had a hard time with the lighting.

I always love your photos, you look great in all of them. =)
