Sometimes you just need to take a break and twirl around in a flowy skirt on the windiest day ever. I love this skirt. It makes me feel like I never gave up ballet class. You can get it here. I tried to be even more graceful in my super tall shoes (remember this post?), but it didn't work out so well. Especially on grass. I think I've given up completely on wearing heels. Thankfully sandal season is coming up so I won't have to worry so much about rolling an ankle.

ReplyDeleteAnd I know you can do the heels thing! The best way to figure out how to work in them is this:
Discover where your natural center of gravity is so that you can compensate as needed. You want to adjust it so that it sits on your toes a little bit. Then, when you take a step, adjust your center so it will still be over the balls of your feet and move slowly but at the full step. Your stride should only alter a little bit if you are doing it correctly. You can start with smaller steps and then get bigger as you get more comfortable. But if you do smaller steps, keep the speed the same so you don't look like a teenager who stole her mom's shoes.

ReplyDeleteI've experienced walking on grass with heels as well.. Not a good combo. The heel keeps digging into the grass, ha ha! You look very lovely in this outfit. It must have been so fun just twirling around in your skirt!
