I ran out and started propping it back up with wood stakes... Lightning and a metal shed didn't seem like such a smart idea but I was angry and needed to do something.... and then the storm was over. THANKS SO MUCH! I'm hoping today we can salvage it somehow and continue trying to build it. Otherwise it was a huge waste of time and money. Sad day.
To cheer myself up, here are some photos of inspirational outdoor spaces... hopefully one day we can achieve half of this gorgeousness:

I just died.....
ReplyDeleteThe first one is so beautiful!
And I love the combination of tiles and grass. Such a neat idea.
I'm so sorry about your shed :(
crossing my fingers that all goes well now!
Awwww I'm so sorry the storm ruined all your hard work but don't give up! That's my motto! If life knocks you back a little I like to think that you should stick you middle finger up back at life and say 'SOD YOU! YOU'RE NOT GOING TO WIN!' lol pick yourself (and your shed) back up, dust it off and it'll all be worth it in the end! Show us how gorgeous it looks when it's finished :D

That storm was crazy, lighting, thunder, some gusting winds, a down pouring of rain and it lasted only a few minutes...then it was DONE. I have lived in Kitchener for 6 years now (Ottawa before that) but I have never seen storms like the ones around here. They are serious, cause lots of damage but normally only last a few minutes mother nature is not one I like to mess with.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about your shed hopefully you are able to fix it and keep working on it.
it WAS crazy, right!? Last year we had a pretty scary one happen where I actually saw a funnel cloud start to form right above our house. My heart has never beat so fast! I used to live on a big hill where tornadoes and things wouldn't happen, but moving out here to flat ground and by the water has me hating mother nature even more!! strong winds seriously terrify me more than anything!
Deletewow- amazing idea. it's a fantastic inspiration-
ReplyDeletethx for sharing.

that sounds amazing!!!!
Deletei want a tree house/guest house thing sooo bad!
xo
So dreamy!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it happened for a reason. What if there was something wrong with the foundation or the spot wasn't right, or the materials you chose were not the most sutible ones (even if you were told they were) and something bad had happened while you guys were in there (I'm glad that wasn't the case).
ReplyDeleteI know it must have sucked to see your work and money just thrown away and it's going to take you a while to get over, but you'll be fine, I'm sure nature didn't do it on purpose and it'd be sorry if it knew it made you sad.
Keep on getting inspiration from the pics you just posted.
Good Luck :)
i really love the interior design..
