today's dilemma
I bought myself a new little camera, just so I had something to shove into my pocket and take places. The DSLR isn't very convenient for such things unfortunately. I literally spent about 4 days researching cameras and trying to decide which one I liked best. In the end, it came down to one thing: how cute it looked. Yep, I sacrificed better options because I could not get the colour of this one out of my head! It's a Samsung ST65 and it was pretty cheap. After debating with myself over a higher quality point and shoot, I decided that for now this would do, and if I need to take better shots my trusty Canon is still by my side.
Anyways, I received it in the mail today, and do you think I could open the dumb thing?? It took me FOREVER but I finally managed. Here's a little recap of my dilemma:
I have no idea why my videos always upload in weird sizes... or with a big black border. Oh well.
Seriously though, how the heck are you supposed to open these things? Without buying a special tool of course. You know something's wrong when they have to make a special tool just to open it. Ohhh life, you mock me!
Except now I just watched the video and your can opener didn't work? That's horrible! I've had the issues and it works for me...that camera just didn't want to go back to you apparently!
I always have the same problem!!! You are right who thinks those packages are good. What I do sometimes its cutting all the edges with a scisor, it takes time but they've never won. lol Good luck with the camera...
Oh my gosh! That is brutal! I hate those things too. It is probably the worst ever to open and I always feel like they are so wasteful in terms of trash too! I hope you were able to finally open to use your camera. I would have chosen that camera too based on the color. ;)
Yikes! That's some brutal packaging! Maybe try to cut through the cardboard and get that out and see if you can't get a little more leverage on the plastic?

I completely understand where you are coming from! Whenever I get anything new that has that packaging, I often make my boyfriend do it. I just get so angry at the things, that I give up until he gets home.
Hahaha! You crack me up! I hate those things. If the contents was not expensive I would fly it across the room! Seriously, they need a tutorial and a special tool. =) Hope you got it open without cutting yourself.

I had the same problem. It sucked ASS!!

Holy crap, this packaging is insane! You should just take a knife to the front and start stabbing (but avoid hitting the camera!)

ReplyDeleteYes. Worst packaging EVER. I usually ask my Hub to cut it open for me. I think he uses a really (really) sharp pocket knife.
