Friday Faves

This camera bag from Oasap
I love it so much. It's currently housing a lens and some other camera goodies. There are interior pockets too which is a plus!

This adorable and incredibly thoughtful packaging from Live Beautifully.
I swear as soon as I opened this box I sent photos to some of my friends saying "look at this packaging!" It was all put together so well with matching business cards, little product info cards, and fabric wrapped around kraft paper! Their products are all natural (everything from lip balm to deodorants!) and there are a ton of scents to choose from. Not to mention their product photos are equally gorgeous! They are also so kind to offer Wonder Forest readers 25% off at their shop with code WONDER25.

Mint nails with polka dots!
My current fav way to do my nails.

Fashion Actions
I found this little collection of Photoshop actions the other day and I am loving them. "Celeste" is so pretty! New monitor also gets points for being a Friday Fave!

it is just SO true.

My two latest purchases from Hautelook that saved me $333... yes, for reals!
Free People Anorak poncho and Current/Elliott Skinny Cargo Pants.

Which brings me to the topic of shopping...

Sometimes, I really hate how Canada has four seasons. Actually, I only hate it when it comes to shopping. I swear I just finished summer clothes shopping and now we're already almost into fall. This is probably why my closet tends to have a ton of unworn or worn-once items hanging in it constantly, and why my basement is filled with boxes of seasonal clothing. Sometimes, I'd love to live in a place where it is warm all year round and you can wear t-shirts in the winter months.

How do you deal with season/fashion changes? Do you continue to wear the same things all year round or do you shove everything into a box like me?

  4. In the UK, you can never plan what to wear, we can have four seasons in one day, it's horrendous. Experience tells me never to leave the house without an umbrella or sunglasses! xx

  6. I know what you mean about the clothes, although I tend to try to wear my spring/summer clothes all year. I just wear cardigans over my tank tops and add knit tights to my skirts and shorts outfits.

  7. Love the camera bag and your nails! :)
In England it can feel like the season changes multiple times each day - I just use layers to make sure I'm prepared! Great blog x

  9. I found the blog post about selling things online quite interesting, and love your nails, they look so much neater than mine :P
With the seasons thing, I tend to wear the same sort of thing all year, and adding tights and an extra layer in the winter. Here in england the weather is so unpredictable, like this summer, for example, we have alternating cold showery days with hot, sunny days. It's exhausting!

  10. the good and bad is that we only have one season here...summer. but i constantly crave fur coats and rain boots, too! sometimes i give in, but those items hardly get used. i've been longing for an anorak like the one you posted above, but can't get myself to shell out loads of money for one when i know it won't get used!

I live in Florida so I really can wear my clothes all year long, BUT I feel limited! I'd love to wear some cute winter clothes without sweating! Adorable sweaters during an 80 degree summer? No thanks!

  14. I WISH we actually had four seasons this year in St.Louis! It went straight from winter to summer here, to extreme summer(we have been in the hundreds for two months now, when its normally early nineties:(). I cannot wait to buy fall clothes!

  16. So many lovely things you've posted! I want to buy a ton of the stuff haha. Your nails look great, too.

I actually haven't bought many new clothes in several years. One big reason is that I'm pretty cheap/poor, so shopping never works out for me. Plus, my weight fluctuates dramatically sometimes and I don't want to waste money on buying clothes that won't fit or won't look good on me after a while. I think shopping for fall clothes is the most fun though, I always like the styles they come out with around that season!

  22. Hey Dana, so glad you liked my post, "Why You Can't Sell ___ Online (But Other People Can." :)

I'm in the camp of wearing clothes all year round.

Actually, the most positive thing about cooler weather for me is that I'm so much more fashionable due to all the layering... I have an extensive collection of comfy long black cardigans that I've embellished different ways and about as many varieties of patterned black tights. I feel more like "myself" when I'm dressed for fall!

  23. I just layer my summer items for fall etc :) I never put anything in a box because I might forget about it... But it can definitely be hard to have clothes for 4 seasons without having to live on noodles for the rest of the month.
