They were three whole years in the making, but we finally managed to do them. We pulled off this little photo shoot with just a few props, a tripod, a remote with a 2 second delay, and a private wooded area at the back of our house (complete with a little chipmunk friend who kept popping up)... and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out! It was such a fun way to spend our 4 year anniversary, and now I have some future keepsakes to remember the time before we were married. So without further ado... some select shots from our little shoot!:
Had to throw a few goofy ones in there! I really liked this last one too and wish it was in focus.
My dress was c/o
oasap and I made the headpiece the day before with some dollar store flowers and a wire. In total, I spent about $5 on these engagement photos, and now we have something to send our family members!
Hope you enjoyed looking!
These are absolutely incredible! I think you are the first person I have heard of doing self shot engagement photos, and it really is a marvelous idea.
ReplyDeleteVery cute :) Glad you decided to do these, you seemed like you wanted engagement photos quite badly everytime you mentioned them.
ReplyDeleteAlso, this might sound odd, but your fiance has beautiful hair!

Gorgeous! I love the last one too :).
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Dana, these are amazing photos! How in the world did you do them? My fiance and I have been wanting to get our engagement photos done, but we are holding off to see if they are in our budget (doesn't look likely with the price of photographers in the area). I've even bought my tripod and tried to do the same thing and they SUCKED! Maybe it's because we were running back and forth. What remote did you use? That would probably help. I've looked into them, but have no idea which to get. You're so talanted, girl!

thank you! My remote is some no-name one, $5 on ebay. If you get one, make sure it has a delay so it doesn't snap it as soon as you press the button :) gives you time to hide it first ;)
DeleteThanks so much for the info! I seriously need to look into this!
DeleteThese are beautiful! I love the makeshift tent, very romantic :)
