you and me and that's all we need.

Bye bye long weekend. It was nice while it lasted.  I spent the entire day Saturday working on my first millionaire idea, and woke up nice and early on Sunday to await the arrival of my landscaper guy. My mom also came over in the morning and by the time noon rolled around, we had some brand new trees planted in our backyard. The deer even came out to have a peek. That same afternoon, I randomly had an attack of flu like symptoms and had to cut the day short so I could lay on the couch and try to pull myself back together. By that evening, I was feeling fine and back to normal. No idea what happened during those few hours.

Yesterday Dustin and I just spent the day together. We had no big Thanksgiving plans, just the two of us. We took a walk in the afternoon through the woods. We didn't even have plans for a thanksgiving dinner until a random stop to the grocery store had us cooking up the quickest meal in history. Chicken, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, and my all time favourite food in the history of foods, yorkshire puddings. Yum! Whoever said you need a full day to prepare a thanksgiving meal is insane. It turned out to be a feast after all, and a great end to a quiet day!

What is your favourite holiday meal?

  1. I can't live without pumpkin pie!
I was asked to do the whole dessert spread at dinner & it was pumpkin EVERYTHING. I love autumn and Thanksgiving.

Your weekend sounds fun yet quiet! Love it.

  2. Sounds like you had a really good time (minus the flue for a few hours). I love days like that, just me and my love relaxing and doing whatever we feel like. Your dinner sounds amazing :)

  3. I have a jacket similar to yours. Cute <3 Looks like you had a nice time. It's funny how you guys weren't planning on dinner, but had one anyway. At least, the flu didn't stick around for the whole day! Glad you got better! :)

  14. Aw, I'm sorry you felt sick. :( I had some similar symptoms today, for NO REASON WHATSOEVER. I felt tired and exhausted and ended up "forcing" the fiance to make me soup and grilled cheese, haha. Glad you recovered and could have a good meal between the two of you! Sounds good; I've never had yorkshire pudding. Perhaps that is something I need to try! My favorite holiday meal is basically anything my mom puts together. She is still, of course, "the" best cook. :)
