Since I'm already in the Christmas spirit, I couldn't let my nails go untouched with cheer! This look is super easy to do using scotch tape and two sparkly and bright polishes. I used these two brand new shades from the 2012 China Glaze Holiday Joy collection -- With Love, a bright, pretty basic red, and Champagne Kisses, one of my new favourite glittery rose golds. I love this one in particular because the sparkles are so dense. The photos above are only using one coat! I applied it using my sponge makeup trick to get the most bang for the buck.
I'm normally not a red polish lover... I tend to think it makes my hands look old (is that weird!?)... maybe because it's all my mom and grandma would wear growing up. On the rare occasion I do sport a fiery shade, I always try to mix it up with something fun. I think this works, and is perfect for the holidays :)
What is a shade you normally never wear?

ooooh they look so pretty! love how those colours look together :)

I have to try this out!!! I love the colors you choose, especially the sparkly gold! I might do a more of a french tip type thing with the circle reinforcement binder hole stickers!

ReplyDeleteooooh! so pretty! so sparkly!
ReplyDeletei've never been a big fan of "nude" colours on my nails... and pastels. i feel like they just don't suit me!
I don't think there is a nail polish color I wont wear, I haven't worn yellow though...the brighter/darker/more sparkly the better for me! I am doing this tonight for sure!
ReplyDeletewhat a pretty color combo. I will have to remember this come december.

These are so cute! They definitely inspire me to find some sparkly polish for this holiday season.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the red nail polish. The one color I can never pull off anymore is black. I used to love it in high school, because it went with everything. But now I feel like it just makes me look angsty. :|
ReplyDeleteI don't think your hands look old! Funny story, I was taking pictures for my etsy account, and thought oh hey, a picture of a ring on an actual hand would be great. So, I took a picture and when I looked at it on the computer to edit it I had to delete them all immediately! Needless to day, I will never be a hand model, haha.
