Moaning trees.

It's been really cold here... and rainy. It will not stop raining. Obviously due to Hurricane Sandy... but come ON mother nature! A whole week of rain is nothing to smile about. Then again, I have nothing to complain about considering there are cities that are completely flooded and without power right now. I am thankful the storm's tail end just grazed by us without any concern. The trees in the backyard though, they sound scary. They creak and moan and sway in the wind as if they are about to topple right over. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking above me in between each of these shots below... which I managed to take during a 10 minute rain break.  I hope you like them and let me know what you think!   5. We're supposed to get sun this weekend and there's no rain yet today thank goodness! I don't mind the rain, but the rain and the cold has been making me feel dreary :( I love your jacket, it looks so soft and warm.

  24. Luckily the storm wasn't too bad for me either. It went from slightly cool weather to middle of winter freezing cold within the few days that Sandy passed. I love your outfit and I think it's great that your giving back to your readers.

  38. Your sweater looks nice and cozy/comfy! We had the wind and the rain down here in Indiana, too. That weather basically swirled down straight north from you and onto us. We had wind gusts up to 50 or so miles an hour, so I know exactly what you mean when you talk about the trees moaning. But you're right--the devastation on the East coast is alarming and stunning. It's just not something I can comprehend, and it's strange, seeing it on the news. I'm just happy to hear from everyone, as their power slowly gears back on. I'm happy to hear they are safe and taken care of. It's just going to take awhile for everything to get back to "normal."
