Isn't that ornament sweet? It's what I received from my Ornament Swap partner! She painted my fox illustration onto the front and stuffed it full of fluffy white stuff. It proudly hangs on my tree along with a bunch of other handmade critters.
Lately I've been trying to finish up all of my custom design work for the end of the year. I only have three more projects to finish off and then I am outta here! Well, not that I'm going anywhere, but I'm taking an extended work vacation to refresh and get set up for the New Year. I've been scribbling all of the things I want to do into one of my many notebooks. I haven't had a holiday break in so long... I'm probably overly excited because of that!
I've also been considering getting a P.O. box as I'd love to be able to receive cute letters from you guys... but you know, being the internet and all I'm not really comfortable with publishing my home address for all to see. Do you think it would be worth it? Do any of you use a P.O. box? I'm not even sure how it works to be honest.
Back to the daily grind!

Oh that's an adorable ornament! Have a great day, Dana :)

I'm having a giveaway on my blog if you're interested. :)
I think a PO box would definitely be worth it. That way people can spend you thing and companies and you don't have to tell them your home address either. I love the ornament and those gloves are super cute.

I'm not sure how it works in Canada, but in the US it's super easy to get a PO box (I have one for my business, so I don't have to give out my home address). I applied online (picked post office location and box size, entered address, paid fee), and then picked up my key the next day. I've had the same one for 2 or 3 years now, just renew it online. They even started a new thing this year where they send you a text if you have mail in your box, so you don't waste a trip just for an empty box (SUPER useful for me, as that's where I receive paychecks).
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's totally worth it. The fee isn't bad, and I think a PO box gives my freelancing/work-from-home business more of an air of professionalism.
P.O boxes are so great Dana. I have one and write several blogger friends! It is nice because you get to build relationships but don't have to feel pressured to reply as you do with email. I feel like I get stressed after writin someone an email and getting a reply seconds later. This is a more relaxed approach and well it rocks! I also use it for product reviews and return addresses. It's great! Tell me if you have any questions..

ReplyDeleteNice ornament you got there. :) I really like it, and I think Marilenn did a nice job of personalizing it for you.
ReplyDeleteAs for the P.O. Box? Well, I lived with my mom for twenty years, and we ALWAYS had one. However, the town I lived in was small enough so that every household could have one. (You had to live so far away from the post office to get a mailbox at your house.) Anyway, you can always go to your local post office and ask about the process. You will probably have to rent a P.O. Box--a monthly or yearly fee or something. Don't hold me to that information, though.
love your ruffled coat!
