Just in case you didn't notice, this place had yet another makeover! Although I loved the last layout, it was just getting a little too cluttered for me. I wanted something fresh for spring and a little more simple. I do think that the previous design had lasted the shortest amount of time out of all of my layouts. Two months! What can I say, I need change!! This one happened kind of randomly and wasn't what I had in mind at all when I started. I was struggling with two other possibilities but somehow it turned into this and I love it!
I'm sure you will find things a little more easily around here now, and I hope you like it! I will also be "retiring" a bunch of ad spots so once they run their course they will be gone. I'm only going to be offering the "Superstar" spot, and the four "Rockstar" spots, and have added a
new one in between my posts. I might eventually even cut this back some more, but... baby steps as they say!

Love it so much! Clean and easy to navigate due to the one table along the side rather than the two side by side. I know what you mean about web design, my mom tells me I change my web design way too much especially for my web store. But I like to build it and redesigning tends to happen alot but it does not bother me to change it a hundred times, it is fun!

ReplyDeleteThis looks great, Dana! I love how much cleaner things are. I think having the columns be less cluttered definitely helps. And now you won't be as bogged down with ads and such, either. What made you decide to cut back on them? Anyway, this does look very "fresh" and "spring-y". The pink-yellow combo for the post headers is my favorite part, I think. I'm kind of a minimalist myself (I ended up redoing my site a couple months ago, and it's just black and white), so I'm definitely a fan of this design.
ReplyDeleteJust decided that they were taking up too much space really. I want this place to look clean and I feel that the ads can distract from that a bit. Plus, I feel like sponsor ads are becoming way too over saturated in blogging and want to move onto other, bigger avenues with less ad spaces. ;) basically its part of my long term plan haha.
