Yummy Watermelon Nails in 4 Simple Steps

What screams summer more than WATERMELONS!? I had this idea to transform my nails in to mini melons, but I had no green polish so I promptly ran out and purchased myself some. I wasn’t sure how it was going to look once complete but I have to say, I am absolutely LOVING the result. How cute are these nails?! And they can be done in just four simple steps…

First paint your nails with a pink toned or coral polish. I used Peach from the Forever 21 Love & Beauty line. Two coats will do it!

Then, when dry, grab a light green and paint the tip of your nail about the width of the brush. No worries if it’s not perfect… watermelons aren’t perfect either! I used Maybelline Color Show in Green With Envy.

With a darker green, re-paint the tips, overlapping the light green 3/4 of the way. I used Maybelline Color Show in Tenacious Teal… it’s definitely more green than teal.

Finally, grab either a thin brush or a toothpick and add the seeds using a black polish. Make a tiny dot and then drag it upwards to form a teardrop shape.

Yummy!! If you try these and share them on Instagram, tag me so I can see @wonderforest!
