I can’t count the times I’ve been blog-hopping and have been stopped dead in my tracks when searching for a way to contact the blogger. It’s not rocket science… Every blog or website needs a contact page. So why do so many of us fail to set one up?
If you’re serious about blogging, skimping on the contact page can be a huge mistake. It is the first place people will want to go to get in touch with you about potential business partnerships, brand opportunities, or simply just to say “hello”. If you’ve ever come across a blogger that you so badly wanted to contact and couldn’t, you will understand the feeling of frustration when that essential page is nowhere to be found.
Your email address or contact icon in your sidebar is not enough. If your contact page isn’t linked in your navigation menu, there is a chance that it’s being missed by a lot of people. The places that they are going to look for your information are in the navigation menu or, if that can’t be found, in the site footer.
Over on the Blog Beautician channel, I’ve published another Blog Essentials video. This time it’s all about your contact page! Find out why it’s important to have a dedicated contact page and what that page should contain. Should you use an email address, or a contact form? Watch, and learn, my lovely Wonder Forest friends:
Did I make you re-think your contact page? What other blog related topics would you like me to cover in the future?
I also wanted to take a moment to announce that I’ve just added more mobile cases to my collection… all designs based on ones you suggested over on Instagram!
