My Winter Fashion Essentials

From top, left to right:

If there’s one thing I love about winter it’s getting to go shopping all over again. Although I’m sure my bank account doesn’t like it too much, I always see fall/winter as a season to refresh your wardrobe. I tend to pull out all of the summer gear and stuff it away in a box to make room for all of the cozy knits and layers. This is also probably why I have boxes and boxes of clothing stashed away for resale, but hey, my likes change each season!

Above are a few of my essentials that pretty much make up the majority of my cold weather outfits. Slouchy beanies are a big staple in my closet this season (I LOVE that Free People one!) and of course chunky sweaters are a must. The other items are what I would call my winter basics. I’m loving high waisted black pants right now, so those shiny disco pants are perfect. Tall socks not only keep you warm but look cute sticking out of a pair of tall boots. Combat style boots in general have always been a fav of mine (could you tell?!), and any type of chunky knit scarf or shawl just adds that final comfy cozy touch.

Finally, a leather jacket basically goes with anything. You can wear it with jeans for a casual look or even with a dress for a rocker chic style.

Whatever the day, you can most likely find me sporting at least one of the above items! What are some of your essential winter fashion items?
